I can

The Sun rose this morning,
Though I knew it wouldn’t.

Blood flows through my veins,
Though I thought it couldn’t.

Air fills my lungs,
Though I dreamed it shouldn’t.

The pain is subsiding,
When I hoped it wouldn’t.

Her love fills the void,
Though it probably shouldn’t.

Life does go on,
Though I thought I couldn’t.

I will be happy again,
Though I thought I shouldn’t.

I think of what’s possible,
And I remember,
I can.
